Without prejudice to the application of Article 5 as referred to in Article 113(3), point (a) , this Regulation shall apply to operators of high-risk AI systems, other than the systems referred to in paragraph 1 of this Article, that have been placed on the market or put into service before … [24 months from the date of entry into force of this Regulation], only if, as from that date, those systems are subject to significant changes in their designs. In the case of high-risk AI systems intended to be used by public authorities, the providers and deployers of such systems shall take the necessary steps to comply with the requirements of this Regulation by … [ six years from the date of entry into force of this Regulation ] . 3. Providers of general-purpose AI models that have been placed on the market before … [12 months from the date of entry into force of this Regulation ] shall take the necessary steps in order to comply with the obligations laid down in this Regulation by … [36 months from the date of entry into force of this Regulation ] .

Article 112 Evaluation and review

The Commission shall assess the need for amendment of the list in Annex III and of the list of prohibited AI practices in Article 5, once a year following the entry into force of this Regulation , and until the end of the period of the delegation of power set out in Article 97 . The Commission shall submit the findings of that assessment to the European Parliament and the Council.
